California's mediterranean-type climate and diverse plant communities are a source of inspiration for our approach to landscape design. California native plants are uniquely adapted to dry summer and autumn months and offer a variety of color, shape and texture with the added benefit of lower maintenance. The proliferation of California native plant nurseries and the availability of native plants allows us more flexibility designing with native plants and is our preferred approach to most projects in our office.

Kluber + Associates is committed to an ethical and sustainable approach to landscape architecture. The protection of our watersheds and conservation of water resources takes great priority in our work. We promote the use of native vegetation for reduced water consumption, rainwater capture and recycling and stormwater filtration systems.
