Nancy Boyd Park Rendering Nancy Boyd Park Rendering
Dedicated in 1965, Nancy Boyd Park is 7.3 acres in size and nestled among native oak woodland. Existing park amenities include a restroom and community center, turf sport field, full basketball court, three lighted tennis courts and practice wall, a large play area with climbing structures, picnic areas, footbridge to street parking, and a Peace Corps monument named for a local Peace Corp volunteer, Nancy Boyd. Our park improvements include a redesign of the play area, tennis courts and picnic areas for ADA accessibility, expansion of the baseball infield area and upgraded irrigation to conform to the CA Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance. Parking lots associated with the park and tennis courts were improved to include ADA parking. The Peace Corps monument is being restored to its original state with improved visibility and drainage. We provided specifications and a cost estimate to the City for bid purposes. Construction estimate for the park including tennis courts: $909,087. Construction on the tennis courts is complete; construction on the main park began in June 2013.
